Event 5: $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em

Caby Catches His Flush, Rakes a Monster

We caught the action three handed after the dealer put out the flop of {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The big blind bet out 1,650, and it was on Taylor Caby, who went deep into the tank. Eventually he shoved for 6,275, and it was on the other player in the pot. He also tanked, before going all in himself for 5,125. It went back to the original better, and he made the call to swell the pot up to almost 30,000!

Caby: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Opponent 1(big blind): {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Opponent 2: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Caby had the nut flush draw, and an inside straight draw, while his opponents held top pair, and an inferior flush draw. According to the Pokernews odds calculator, Caby had a 41% chance of winning going into the turn, which was the {j-Spades}. This dropped his odds to just 24%, but the river brought the {9-Diamonds}, completing his flush, and sending the massive pot over to him.
